Computer Club

Parent’s Computer Club runs every Monday from 9:00am – 10:45am.

Learn basic computing skills such as word processing, how to change fonts, size and colours of text and how to draw and paint on the computer.

If you would like to attend, speak to Mrs Rahman in the office she will put your name on the waiting list.

Sewing and Employability

Jigsaw housing are providing two 10 week sewing course for parents. Parents can learn sewing skills culminating in making an outfit. Parents may in the future be able to apply for jobs in the textile business.

If you would like to attend the next round of Sewing and Employability, speak to Mrs Rahman in the office.

ESOL

Family ESOL classes run every Tuesday morning from 9:00am – 11:30am and 12:30pm – 2:30pm. These classes are run by Lifelong learning.

This class support adults to build their confidence when speaking in English and improve their well-being. Learn how to improve your communication skills for example when making appointments and helping your children with their learning.
These classes are for parents of our school but may become available to extended family members – Mrs Rahman will be in touch.

Workshops

Come to a parent’s workshop every Tuesday afternoon 2:30pm- 3:10pm. There will be a different theme each week. Meet in the office on Tuesday afternoons by 2:25pm to attend. See below for those coming up this term. Just turn up to attend.

Cook and Eat

Jigsaw Housing are providing a Cook and Eat course. This is a 4 week course. Parents will learn about the benefits of nutritious and healthy diet and will learn how to cook meals that are balanced and healthy.

Year 2, Year 3, 4 and 5 Homework Class

Year 2, Year 3, 4 and 5 Homework Class runs every Thursday morning from 9:00am – 10:00am.This course is run by Mrs Bennion and Mrs Rahman. Come and find out how you can support your child with their homework and improve their learning. Just turn up to attend.

Basic English Class

This course runs every Thursday morning from 10:15am – 11:45am.

Come and learn basic spoken English. This class involves role play of different situations such as introducing themselves, making a DRs appointment, buying a bus ticket and buying items in shops.

Speak to Mrs Rahman in the office if you would like to attend and she will add your to the waiting list.

Parent Coffee Mornings

Come to the parent’s coffee morning from 9:00am- 10:30am.

21st February – 28th March – A 6-week programme about Keeping Our Girls Safe. Be educated about being safe online. To attend just turn up.

21st March – 2nd May – A 6-week programme based on writing a CV and aiming to to inspire parents to get into work or take up a voluntary position. It will also include a visit to a local business – Ultimate Products at Manor Mill.
