Parent’s Computer Club runs every Monday from 9:00am – 10:45am. 

Learn basic computing skills such as word processing, how to change fonts, size and colours of text and how to draw and paint on the computer. 

If you would like to attend, speak to Mrs Rahman in the office she will put your name on the waiting list.

Top three reasons for learning English | EF English Live

ESOL classes run every Tuesday morning from 9:00am – 11:30am.  These classes are run by Lifelong learning. 

This class support adults to build their confidence when speaking in English and improve their well-being. Learn how to improve your communication skills for example making appointments and helping your children with their learning. 

Sleep Tight Course

Sleep 101: Why Sleep Is So Important to Your Health | The Pursuit | University of Michigan School of Public Health | Adolescent Health | Child Health | Chronic Disease | Epidemic | Mental Health | Obesity

The sleep Tight Course is on a Tuesday  from 12:30pm – 1:30pm.  This is a five week course finishing on 13th December. We will run this course again in the new year. 

Does your child suffer from sleep problems? Do you want to access support to improve bedtime? There are 5 workshops: 

  • understanding sleep cycles;
  • common sleep issues and strategies to manage these;
  • establish appropriate routines;
  • keeping sleep diaries and interpreting the data;
  • environments. 

Speak to Mrs Rahman if you would like to attend a Sleep Tight course.

Come to a parent’s workshop every Tuesday afternoon 2:30pm- 3:10pm.  There will be a different theme each week. Meet in the office on Tuesday afternoon’s by 2:25pm to attend. See below for those coming up this term. 

17th January 2023:  IDL with Mrs Sikandar and Mrs Rahman.

24th January 2023: Learn about our school website, how to use it and how to find the information that you need with Mrs Bennion and Mrs Rahman.

31st January 2023: Staff in school and their roles with Mrs Sikandar and Mrs Rahman. 

7th February 2023: Google Classroom – learn more about how to use it with Miss Hulme and Mrs Rahman.

21st February 2023: The Blanks level of questioning are developed to help children’s spoken language and comprehension skills with Mrs Sikandar and Mrs Rahman.

28th February 2023: Using Knowledge Organiser to support your children at home with Mrs Bennion, Miss Nield and Mrs Rahman. 

7th March 2023: Learn how to keep your children safe online with Miss Hulme and Mrs Rahman. 

14th March 2023: We are a Communication Friendly school during this session we will share strategies that we use in school so that you can use them at home with Mrs Sikandar and Mrs Rahman. 

21st March 2023: A workshop that centres around uniform and PE kits expectations and where to buy it with Mrs Sikandar, Mrs Bennion and Mrs Rahman. 

28th March 2023: Using phonics skills to learn  support your child with their reading and writing with Miss Nield and Mrs Rahman. 

Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities

Parenting, Outsourcing, Wakeup Call | Wifaqul Ulama (Britain)

This course runs on a Wednesday from 9:30am – 11:30am. The course duration is 13 weeks. This course finishes on the 15th March. 

Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities is an evidence based parenting programme designed to promote positive behaviours which are associated with good parenting and better outcomes for children. 

If you would like to attend, a Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities course, speak to Mrs Rahman in the office..

Year 5 and 6 Homework Class runs every Wednesday afternoon from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.

This course is run by Mrs Bennion and Mrs Rahman. Come and find out how you can support your child with their homework and improve their learning.

Year 2, Year 3 and 4 Homework Class

Basic English Class

English

This course runs every Thursday morning from 10:00am – 11:30am. 

Come and learn basic spoken English.  This class involves role play of different situations such as introducing themselves, making a DRs appointment, buying a bus ticket and buying items in shops.  

Speak to Mrs Rahman in the office if you would like to attend and she will add your to the waiting list. 

Sewing Class
